St. Barbara Chapel

The wooden chapel of St. Barbara was erected in 1996 instead of the 15th century St. Barbara church. The holy place was ransacked and looted by retreating French troops in 1812, and burned to the ground in 1953. Nowadays the church hosts prayer services and attracts pilgrims from various countries who arrive in Slutsk to see its highly venerated icons.
