Memorial to Chernobyl liquidators unveiled in Khoiniki

A memorial to commemorate power engineers of the Soviet Union who were called upon to deal with the consequences of the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster was opened in Khoiniki on 25 April. The memorial was erected in the urban park. The new sculpture shows three power engineers in action. The designer is Belarusian sculptor Valery Kondratenko.
