100th anniversary of the wedding of Marc Chagall and Bella Rosenfeld in Vitebsk

The Jewish wedding ceremony chuppah took place in the yard of the artist’s home which is now a museum. According to the rabbi, the canopy under which the bride and groom are standing during the wedding ceremony is a symbol of the house they must build together.
