St. John Lutheran Church in Grodno is the only Lutheran church in Belarus. It was founded in 1793, when King Stanislaw II August Poniatowski donated a building of a former tavern to the Lutheran community that consisted of German craftsmen who came to work in Grodno manufactories. Following a major makeover in 2014 the grand neo-Gothic church reopened to residents and guests of the city. The church holds services and hosts organ and classic music concerts.
