The aircraft with the unusual livery was presented in National Airport Minsk by Belarus’ major companies – Belavia, the national air carrier, and Wargaming, the developer of the world-popular MMO-game World of Tanks. Even before it landed in Minsk, the colorful Boing-737 made headlines thanks to the spotters who made pictures of it near the hangar of the Czech Ostrava.
The exclusive design will definitely make the aircraft identifiable around the world. For example, black and orange, the signature colors of the World of Tanks, are a rare sight in passenger aviation. The rebranded Boeing carries the Belarusian national ornament on fuselage and wings and also a tank, the main symbol of the game. The tagline on the side reads in Russian and English "The game from Belarus enjoyed worldwide."
The tail of the aircraft is decorated with a cornflower. This is the first element of Belavia’s new brand image that the company has unveiled so far. The presentation of the large-scale rebranding campaign is scheduled for August 2016.
Belarus will use the branded aircraft on all its routes. It is possible that you will spot it on the airfield or in the air. Meanwhile, enjoy our photos from the presentation.
