MINSK, 29 November (BelTA) – An official welcome ceremony for Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev on behalf of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko was held in the Palace of Independence in Minsk on 29 November, BelTA has learned.
After the ceremonial welcome involving the guard of honor and the performance of the national anthems Alexander Lukashenko and Nursultan Nazarbayev greeted the members of the official delegations of the two parties.
The presidents posed for a joint photo-op and proceeded to the Palace of Independence for the official talks. The parties are expected to sign a number of international documents on the development of bilateral cooperation in various areas.
Nursultan Nazarbayev has arrived in Belarus on an official visit as the two countries celebrate the 25th anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Kazakhstan.
