MINSK, 12 May (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev held an informal meeting in the agro-town Alexandria on 12 May, BelTA has learned.
The meeting lasted for more than three hours. Alexander Lukashenko and Dmitry Medvedev discussed all the important issues of the current agenda, including bilateral relations, economic cooperation, regional issues and the international agenda.
The agreement on the meeting was reached in Sochi in January 2016. The Belarusian head of state showed the Russian guest his native land. Alexander Lukashenko and Dmitry Medvedev tried natural birch sap, took pictures near the Belarusian leader’s home and visited the Trofimova Krinitsa restored under the President’s instruction nearly three years ago. Water in the spring well is blessed and pure. People from the nearby regions come here. Russians are also often guests in the place.
The informal meeting of Alexander Lukashenko and Dmitry Medvedev was held after the official events in Mogilev which hosted the meeting of the Union State Council of Ministers on 12 May.
