MINSK, 30 May (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has inspected crops in the experimental fields of Mogilev Oblast and Vitebsk Oblast, BelTA has learned.
People call them “presidential” fields. Every year Belarusian farmers use these fields located at the border of two oblasts to run important experiments in sowing different crops, comparing domestic and imported varieties, strictly observing technologies and principles of crop rotation. The best practices are spread throughout the country.
“This year the fields have been sown with grain maize (different varieties) and clover varieties. The president assessed them as very good, and even close to perfect,” the Telegram channel Pul Pervogo posted.
The head of state thanked specialists of the National Academy of Sciences and all those involved in the work, including farmers working on this land.
The president pays great attention to agriculture. The sector development is under the constant control of the head of state. The president conducts experiments to keep abreast of the latest trends, to try out technologies and new types of crops. The best and most successful ones are lately implemented on a national scale.
