Lukashenko: Fate of Belarusian people is reflected in state flag, emblem, anthem

MINSK, 12 May (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulated his compatriots on the Day of the State Flag, the State Emblem and the National Anthem of the Republic of Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The head of state noted that these symbols - the flag, the emblem and the anthem - reflect the fate of the people, their difficult path to peace in their native land. "Every word of the anthem, every element of the flag and emblem invisibly provide the retrospective of the life of Belarusians from the very origins to the important achievements of today," the president stated.

Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed: "The state symbols of sovereign Belarus embody the outstanding achievements of contemporaries: climbing Mount Everest and conquering space, scientific discoveries and victories in sport, the development of high-tech industries and unique works of art, the strength and defense capability of the Fatherland. They are the pride for our country and our people."

The president wished his compatriots good health, family happiness, joy and new successes for the benefit of the Motherland.
