Lukashenko extends Knowledge Day greetings to Belarusians

MINSK, 1 September (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulated school and university students, postgraduates, teachers, educators and researchers on Knowledge Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“As we launch a new academic year in September, we all take a step into the future. After all, learning the basics of sciences and professions under the guidance of both young and experienced teachers, today's schoolchildren, students and cadets are getting ready to take responsibility for our Fatherland. They will take up the baton from older generations: they will build houses, sow grain, develop and apply modern technologies, defend the Motherland. They will also preserve historical memory, culture and traditions - the foundation of the people's life. Study hard. I am sure that you will be able to make our country even stronger and more beautiful,” the message of congratulations reads.

Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that first-graders and their parents are those who feel the most excited at back-to-school ceremonies. “Let the school become for you a guide to the vastness of knowledge, a true temple of science, as well as a safe and cozy home filled with the joy of new achievements, positive emotions and smiles of true friends,” the president wished.
