MINSK, 20 June (BelTA) – Belarusian cyclist Yelena Omelyusik claimed the women’s Road Race gold at the European Games in Baku, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian covered the 120.7km course in 3:26.36. Second came in Poland’s Katarzyna Niewiadoma, clocking the same time. Third was Anna van der Breggen of the Netherlands. Fellow Belarusians Olga Antonova and Tatyana Sharakova finished in the second group with the time of 3:25.53.

Earlier, Vasily Kiriyenko of Belarus clinched the men’s Individual Road Cycling Time Trial gold.
