Project goal: community integration for people with disabilities, including wheelchair users

Project tasks:

• To involve people with disabilities in cultural events, provide them with the opportunity to visit cultural, historical and religious sights of Belarus;
• To expand the accessibility of social and cultural services for people with disabilities;
• To expand the circle of contacts of people with disabilities;
• To help people with disabilities adapt in modern society.

Brief description: to purchase a minibus for social and cultural rehabilitation of people with disabilities (18 seats: 14 - for people with disabilities, including wheel-chairs, 4 - for accompanying staff).

Project justification:

The acquisition of a minibus with a lifting device will help people with disabilities, including wheelchair users, take part in regional and nationwide sports events and competitions for people with disabilities, to visit cultural, historical and religious sights of Belarus.

Post-project activities:
The implementation of the project will help enhance the level of self-esteem of people with disabilities living in the care home.
