MINSK, 16 April (BelTA) – A plane with humanitarian aid from China landed at Minsk National Airport on 15 April. The plane brought more than 10,700 test kits to diagnose coronavirus, BelTA learned from Deputy Head of the National Center for Hygiene, Epidemiology and Public Health Aleksandr Zenkovich.
“These test kits will be used to build the laboratory capacity of Belarus in diagnosing the novel coronavirus. Our center is the recipient of the humanitarian aid. This aid will be later distributed among laboratories all over the country,” the specialist said. He emphasized that Belarus is grateful to the Chinese authorities and the Chinese Embassy for lending a helping hand in the time of need.
That was the second humanitarian cargo from China. Earlier, on 1 April, Belarus received Chinese humanitarian cargo that included more than 2,000 test kits, medical gowns, infrared thermometers, goggles, disposable gloves and medical boot covers. Thus, that was China’s response to Belarus’ humanitarian cargo sent to China before. When China was in a difficult situation, Belarus sent two jets full of medical supplies to this country.
