MINSK, 18 January (BelTA) - Brest Customs and Brest-Beltamozhservice collected humanitarian aid for the children of Donbass and handed it over to the Aleksei Talai Charity Foundation, BelTA has learned.
"The entire Belarus is helping Donbass today. Various entities, public organizations - everyone is collecting humanitarian aid. Being a link, our foundation is trying to deliver and give it to those who need it right now," Aleksei Talai said.
The Brest Oblast residents also contribute to the Relay of Kindness charity project. In particular, the customs officers. "Each structural unit from the bottom of their hearts handed over items that will be necessary for children. These are stationery, hygiene items, long-life products, warm clothes and baby food. Everyone chose what they wanted to donate for the children," the official representative of Brest Customs Vera Bazaka noted.
The employees of Brest-Beltamozhservice didn't stay aside. "We took part in the collection of humanitarian aid. We wanted to support children in trouble. Not only employees took part, but also members of their families. People brought whatever they believed necessary: learning games, arts and crafts kits, constructors, stationery. The range is large," pointed out Elena Dementei, head of the transport and logistics center Brest-Beltamozhservice-2.
Aleksei Talai also mentioned that Belarus expected to host another group of Donbass children at the end of February. They will travel to Belarus for holidays and rehabilitation in Grodno Oblast. "Every Belarusian region will show its love and attention to the children affected by the war. We will definitely keep on this activity and implement a number of other important projects," Aleksei Talai added.
