MINSK, 24 May (BelTA) – In line with the Council of Ministers’ Resolution No. 360 as of 22 May, Belarus will provide humanitarian aid to Russia’s Orenburg Oblast and Kurgan Oblast that were affected by devastating floods. The document was published on the National Legal Internet Portal, BelTA has learned.
The Emergencies Ministry, the Agriculture and Food Ministry, the State Committee on Property, Belneftekhim Concern, Bellegprom Concern, the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee and the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee were instructed to collect and deliver humanitarian aid to Russia’s Orenburg Oblast and Kurgan Oblast.
Humanitarian aid for Orenburg Oblast features more than 60 items. These include veterinary drugs, bed linen, blankets, towels, underwear, household equipment, overalls, boots. Humanitarian aid for Kurgan Oblast includes canned meat, sugar, pasta, buckwheat, blankets, towels, rugs, underwear.
The Emergencies Ministry shall arrange the delivery of humanitarian aid to the affected areas.
The resolution came into force on the day of its adoption.
A reminder, the flood that swept through Orenburg Oblast this spring was one of the largest in the region’s history. A federal state of emergency was announced there. A state of emergency was also introduced in Kurgan Oblast.
