MINSK, 17 April (BelTA) – Belarus has received the second humanitarian cargo from China, representatives of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.
The aircraft delivered over 30 tonnes of freight to Minsk. The special flight from Beijing to Minsk was arranged by the Belarusian embassy in China.
The aircraft delivered test systems, increased-protection face masks, separation systems for PCR diagnostics, and medications. The cargo includes the second batch of humanitarian aid from China, donations from several major Belarusian companies, and purchases of state enterprises.
The cargo also includes aid provided by provinces and cities of the People’s Republic of China, which are twinned with regions of Belarus. Those are the provinces Gansu, Hubei, Henan, Hunan, Guangdong, Shandong, Jiangsu and the cities Chongqing, Tianjin, Shanghai and Shishou.
The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs underlined that the complicated international situation requires everyone to work together – partners in the international scene and within the framework of public private partnership. The ministry also thanked the Chinese embassy in Belarus and Ambassador Cui Qiming personally for solidarity and friendship in the complicated time for the international community.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Cui Qiming told BelTA on 16 April, many Chinese companies that constantly work in Belarus take an active part in the donation of medical goods to Belarus. As of 15 April the total sum of medical humanitarian aid provided by the Chinese companies was close to $1.64 million.
