MINSK, 17 May (BelTA) – Belarus and Poland have talked over prospects of cooperation in the humanitarian sector, BelTA has learned.
The issues were discussed at a meeting between Director of the Humanitarian Affairs Department at the Belarus President Property Management Directorate Valery Skakun and Director of the Department of Development Cooperation at the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Michal Cygan on 17 May. Taking part in the event were also Deputy Ambassador of Poland to Belarus Marcin Wojciechowski and First Secretary of the Polish Embassy in Belarus Magdalena Sidorowicz.
The parties discussed various aspects of cooperation in the humanitarian sector between the Department of Humanitarian Affairs at the Belarus President Property Management Directorate and the Department of Development Cooperation of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 2019, Belarus-Poland humanitarian contacts include three major areas: regional development, social services for people with disabilities and business development.
