MINSK, 31 July (BelTA) - The agreement on cooperation in providing humanitarian assistance to migrants was signed between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Border Committee, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Emergencies Ministry of Situations and the Belarusian Red Cross Society on 31 July, BelTA learned form the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The agreement shall replace the similar document in force in 2022. Its purpose is to ensure effective coordination between the parties to provide assistance to migrants in Belarus.
The agreement, in particular, provides for information exchange, planning of joint actions to provide emergency and long-term assistance to migrants, assistance in the delivery and distribution of humanitarian goods and assistance in restoring family links affected by migration.
