MINSK, 9 August (BelTA) – Voter turnout during the presidential election in Belarus stood at 79.01% as of 18:00, BelTA learned from Chairwoman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Belarus Lidia Yermoshina.
Lidia Yermoshina noted that voter turnout in many regions was past 80%. Only Minsk Oblast and the city of Minsk were below 80%.
Voter turnout in Brest Oblast amounted to 84.52% of the total number of registered voters in the region. The figure totaled 80% in Vitebsk Oblast, 85.98% in Gomel Oblast, 82.41% in Grodno Oblast, and 86.01% in Mogilev Oblast.
Voter turnout stood at 77.93% in Minsk Oblast and 62.3% in the city of Minsk.
