MINSK, 23 October (BelTA) – About 60,000 people will be recruited to work at election commissions during the presidential election campaign, Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Belarus Igor Karpenko said at a meeting of the House of Representatives, BelTA has learned.
“About 60,000 people will work at election commissions during the presidential election campaign. As a rule, these are experienced people who worked at such commissions during the single voting day. In addition to that, many have improved their qualifications at the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of Belarus and at regional education development institutions, as well as during training sessions and seminars,” said Igor Karpenko.
According to him, due to a small time gap between the single voting day and the presidential election, these people will not have to refresh their skills.
