MINSK, 17 July (BelTA) – The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Belarus has granted accreditation to three observers for the forthcoming presidential election, CEC Chairperson Lidia Yermoshina said at the meeting of the commission on 17 July, BelTA has learned.
According to Lidia Yermoshina, today’s meeting is attended by observers from the public association Belaya Rus, the Belarusian Helsinki Committee and the National Party of Labor and Justice of Belarus.
It is expected that on 17 July three initiative groups will be registered to nominate their candidates to the post of the President of Belarus, i.e. Alexander Lukashenko, Sergei Kalyakin and Sergei Gaidukevich.
