MINSK, 11 October (BelTA) – Everything necessary is being done in Belarus to enable the best conditions for observers and voters. The opinion was voiced by Sergei Lebedev, head of the CIS mission sent to monitor the Belarus president election, after visiting a polling station in Minsk on 11 October, BelTA has learned.
Sergei Lebedev said: “We see that everything is being done in Belarus for the voting process to proceed calmly, for the sake of enabling the best conditions for voters and observers so that the latter could get an objective picture of the voting process.”
He told mass media that on that day the CIS observers had asked the local observers whether the latter had a good view of the voting process and other organizational aspects. “We hear positive answers. I would like to note that our proposals and recommendations voiced about some aspects are always accepted with close attention. They are always acted upon,” said the head of the CIS mission sent to monitor the Belarus president election.
