MINSK, 6 October (BelTA) – Over 37,000 national observers have been accredited to monitor the presidential election that is due in Belarus on 11 October. The information has been posted at the official site of the Central Election Commission of Belarus, BelTA informs.
Among accredited national observers are 6,871 individuals, 1,685 representatives of labor collectives, 5,008 members of political parties. Other public associations have sent a total of 24,307 their representatives to monitor the election.
Thus, as of 5 October the number of accredited national observers made up 37,871. A total of 910 foreign observers have been accredited by the Central Election Commission. International observers represent OSCE/ODIHR, election commissions of their states, CIS (including CIS IPA), PACE, OSCE PA, SCO and the diplomatic corps. Among them are also independent observers.
