MINSK, 11 October (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko told media today that if he is elected, he will have to secure very rapid advancement and the nation’s safety, BelTA has learned.
The head of state said: “If Lukashenko is elected, life will go on. I will have to use what we have to continue very rapid advancement for the sake of reaching a normal level of Belarus’ development without any radicalism. It is the most important thing for me. I have to secure the nation’s safety.”
In his words, if someone else is elected, his or her errors will be forgiven initially. “I will be forgiven nothing — nor salaries, nor economy, nor security, nor military defense. Because I will be asked right away what I have been doing all these years. This is why I’ve been pondering these matters,” stressed the President.
