MINSK, 4 May (BelTA) – The 5th Belarusian People’s Congress will provide an opportunity to hear different viewpoints on the country’s economic development, member of the House of Representatives’ permanent commission on healthcare, physical education, family and youth policy Dmitry Shevtsov told BelTA.
According to the MP, at the Belarusian People’s Congress the word is given to representatives of various spheres. “Every speech envisages a response, which makes the event a fruitful dialogue. This helps discuss problem points, find ways to address them, and also outline strong and weak points in various sectors,” said Dmitry Shevtsov.
In his words, the country’s economic development features will make a separate block of issues at the forthcoming Belarusian People’s Congress. Besides, the MP views as important to focus on healthcare and the popularization of a healthy lifestyle.
The 5th Belarusian People’s Congress will take place in Minsk on 22-23 June. The agenda of the event will include the issues concerning the social and economic development program of the Republic of Belarus in 2011-2015 and the major guidelines of the country's social and economic development program for 2016-2020. It is expected that partaking in the meeting will be 2,500 people.
