MINSK, 22 June (BelTA) – The speech Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko made during the Belarusian People’s Congress was very strong and constructive, BelTA learned from Piotr Zharkov, president of the public association of Belarusians in the Middle West, USA, President of the Council of Veterans of Minneapolis City, member of the advisory board for Belarusians living abroad.

Piotr Zharkov attended the Belarusian People’s Congress as a guest. “It was very interesting for me to listen to the speech by the Belarus president. The speech touched upon virtually all the spheres of life of the country. It was obvious that the head of state knows the situation in all areas well,” said Piotr Zharkov. “I hope a lot that everything that’s been said today will be implemented.”

In his opinion, in modern conditions Belarus is an indicator of stability and tranquility. “I believe that Belarus in the world is kind of a diamond that sparkles regardless of ‘bad weather’ in world economy and politics,” believes Piotr Zharkov.
