MINSK, 25 May (BelTA) – Preserving the socially-oriented policy as a priority will be one of the tasks set during the Belarusian People’s Congress, BelTA learned from Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Anatoly Kalinin.
The official said: “The Belarusian People’s Congress is an important political event in our country. During the event new long-term tasks will be set. Preserving the socially-oriented policy as a priority is the most important thing.” As far as economy is concerned, ways to reduce costs, raise effectiveness, and bolster export potential will be high on the agenda.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted that during the Belarusian People’s Congress the government and civil servants will be assigned concrete tasks that need to be accomplished together with citizens. Joint efforts in this area will allow more effectively and actively working in current conditions.
Among accomplishments of the previous five-year term Anatoly Kalinin mentioned vigorous housing construction, large-scale development of the healthcare system and the education system.
