MINSK, 27 April (BelTA) – The preparations for the celebration of Victory Day in Belarus proceed in accordance with the established procedure and on schedule, State Secretary of the Security Council Alexander Mezhuyev told Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on 27 April, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The President inquired about the readiness of law enforcement bodies to maintain public order during the celebrations. The head of state also asked about the preparations for the military parade. Another issue on the agenda was the trip of the State Secretary of the Security Council to the People’s Republic of China. Belarus maintains robust trade and economic, military and technical cooperation with this country. The President was informed about the agreements which were reached after the talks on China’s assistance in enhancing the defense capacity of Belarus.
Alexander Mezhuyev told the President that the preparations for the Victory Day celebration are on schedule. All events, including the holding of staff training, proceed in accordance with the established procedure.
The head of state also inquired about the readiness of Belarusian servicemen who will take part in the parade in Moscow. According to Alexander Mezhuyev, the 5th special mission brigade has already left for Moscow where it is taking part in the rehearsal of the parade in Moscow.
