MINSK, 8 May (BelTA) – President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko receives numerous Victory Day greetings from foreign leaders, famous public figures and politicians, BelTA learned from the presidential press service.
The Belarusian president has received greetings from CIS leaders. “The Great Victory is a common invaluable legacy of our people who fought shoulder to shoulder against a cruel and merciless enemy, saved the world from Nazism. Our duty is to cherish the memory of fallen heroes, take care of the veterans, do not allow the repetition of the tragic events of the past. We must enhance spiritual bonds between generations, promote noble ideals of kindness, justice and patriotism among young people,” the message of greetings from Russian President Vladimir Putin reads.
The message of greetings from Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev reads that the unshakable unity between peoples who won a violent fight against the common enemy in the difficult years of the Great Patriotic War will be remembered forever.
