MINSK, 3 June (BelTA) – Belarus’ Yahor Sharamkou and Aliaksandra Varabyova have won medals at the 2019 FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Challenge Cup in Koper, Slovenia, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Gymnastics Association.
Yahor Sharamkou took second place in vault with 14.600 points. Wai Hung Shek from Hong Kong snatched the victory receiving 14.675 points from the judges.
Aliaksandra Varabyova took the bronze on uneven bars with 11.950 points. The gold went to Hungary’s Zsofia Kovacs (14.000). Jasmin Mader from Austria won the silver (12.500).
Artistic gymnastics is part of the 2nd European Games in Minsk program. Athletes will compete in 12 medal events in Minsk Arena on 29-30 June.
