MINSK, 26 June (BelTA) – Mobile communication will be enabled in Minsk metro tunnels ahead of the 2nd European Games Minsk 2019, BelTA learned from Aleksei Tyazhkikh, Head of the Technology Department of the Belarusian mobile carrier MTS on 26 June.
The mobile carrier representative said that improving the quality of service in the Minsk metro, in particular, enabling uninterrupted communication in all the metro tunnels, is part of the preparations for the 2nd European Games. MTS Company is working together with another mobile carrier to implement the project ahead of the games. As a result, mobile service will be available without interruptions across the entirety of Minsk metro tunnels.
The 2nd European Games are scheduled to take place in Minsk on 21-30 June 2019. Over 4,000 athletes from 50 countries will compete for awards in 15 sports. Competitions in ten sports will qualify athletes for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
