ASTANA, 14 August (BelTA) – Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev met with heads of government of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) on 14 August, BelTA has learned.
Nursultan Nazarbayev greeted the members of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in the capital of Kazakhstan and took note of the best time for the meeting held during the international exhibition Expo 2017 in Astana.
“The heads of government have a good opportunity to visit their national pavilions and the expositions of Kazakhstan and other countries. The Eurasian Economic Union has been functioning for three years already, in the complicated times for both the world and the national economies of the EAEU member states. The main thing remains unchanged which is the development of the common market, the unified economic structure,” Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
The president of Kazakhstan noted that the economic growth is directly linked to the level of the trade turnover and the improvement of mutual relations between the countries. “I believe we have been moving in the right direction. Despite all the issues, we need to strengthen our Eurasian Economic Union. Our number one goal today is that all the internal matters and mutual relations between our countries had their future development. The primary role in this work should be played by the governments. They need to regulate economic tasks and develop cooperation between the states,” he said.
