MINSK, 3 February (BelTA) – I have not high opinion of the politicians who are ready to use war to improve their rating, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said at the meeting with the members of the public, representatives of the Belarusian and foreign mass media on 3 February, BelTA informs.

The Belarusian leader believes that a very serious unambiguous reason is needed to use nuclear weapons. Such a possibility is small, but Alexander Lukashenko said that there is an alarming trend – politicians “have gone crazy”. He stressed that he cannot accept the readiness to use war to improve the rating inside the country. “They can kill a big number of people, start a war to improve their rating in the country. It is inadmissible for me. It is monstrous,” the head of state said.

Alexander Lukashenko said that Belarus pursues a peace-loving policy, and said that its position on the Ukraine settlement is an example.
