MINSK, 11 May (BelTA) – Mogilev will play host to a meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Belarus-Russia Union State on 12 May, BelTA learned from spokesman for the Belarusian Prime Minister Vladislav Sychevich.
The meeting will be attended by Russia and Belarus Prime Ministers Dmitry Medvedev and Andrei Kobyakov.
The agenda of the meeting includes 27 issues. The main block is about trade and economic cooperation. The meeting will discuss the action plan to establish additional conditions for the development of trade and economic cooperation, the medium-term socio-economic development forecast of the Union State, and will consider the supply and demand forecasts for essential products in 2016.
In addition, the participants to the meeting will review the scientific and technical programs of the Union State “Development and creation of new-generation micro-system engineering and dual-use integrated systems for 2010-2014.
It is also planned to consider the draft concepts of the five-year programs “Development of innovative geno-geographic and genomic technologies and identification of individual characteristics based on the studies of the human gene pools of the regions of the Union State (DNA Identification); “Development of a system of hydrometeorological security of the Union State”, and “Development of new spinal systems using prototyping technologies in surgical treatment of children with severe spinal congenital deformities and injuries”.
The meeting will also review the draft programs “Development of a new-generation electronic components for control and security systems of special and dual-use vehicles (Auto electronics)”, “Development of critical standard technologies for the design and manufacture of nanostructural micro-and optoelectronics devices, equipment and systems based on them for their production and testing (Luch), “Development of integrated technologies to create materials, devices and key elements of space systems and promising products for other industries” (Technology – SG), “Development and improvement of the common system of technical protection of railway facilities in the region.”
Andrei Kobyakov and Dmitry Medvedev are scheduled to hold bilateral talks to discuss a wide range of bilateral cooperation.
