GOMEL, 17 February (BelTA) – A group of Ukrainian journalists is expected to tour Gomel Oblast on 17-18 February, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee.
The delegation will comprise about 30 journalists representing nationwide and regional TV channels and printed sources. Reporters will come from Kiev, Lviv, Kirovograd, Cherkassy, Poltavy, Donetsk and other oblasts.
The major goal of the trip is familiarization with the south-east region of Belarus. The program of the press tour will include a visit to a number of industrial companies and social infrastructure facilities. Ukrainian guests will pay a visit to OAO Komintern, the National Center of Radiation Medicine and Human Ecology, get familiar with the sights of the Gomel Palace and Park Ensemble, and meet with the local authorities and the staff of the leading oblast newspaper Gomelskaya Pravda.
