MINSK, 24 October (BelTA) – Belarus will help Armenia with inventorying the latter’s forest resources. The relevant agreement was reached by the Belarusian Forestry Ministry and the Armenian Agriculture Ministry, the press service of the Belarusian Forestry Ministry told BelTA.
The project to inventory Armenian forests is a new direction in cooperation between Belarusian and Armenian wood growers. The Belarusian company Belgiproles can help launch projects for building forest nurseries and forest roads in Armenia. Belarusian and Armenian wood growers can explore a number of promising cooperation avenues, said Belarusian Forestry Minister Mikhail Amelyanovich as he met with a delegation of the Armenian government.
The sides also reached an agreement on planting a Belarusian-Armenian friendship forest. Belarusian specialists will visit Armenian in late October in order to share the best practices and assist with forest surveying and planning.
