MINSK, 5 April (BelTA) – Belarus and India have agreed to fast-track the implementation of cooperation plans in insurance, pharmaceutics and healthcare, and light industry. Specific agreements were reached at a meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to India Andrei Rzheussky and Indian Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture Meenakshi Lekhi, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission.
The parties discussed a wide range of issues of the bilateral agenda, including progress to implement the protocol of the 11th Session of the Belarus-India Inter-Governmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technological and Cultural Cooperation that was held in New Delhi on 10 November 2022.
“Specific agreements have been reached to fast-track the joint work to promote cooperation in insurance, pharmaceutics and medicine, light industry,” the embassy noted. “The diplomats discussed mutual support in international organizations, including the UN, as well as Belarus’ plans to join the Shanghai Cooperation Organization,” the embassy informed.
Andrei Rzheussky refreshed the invitation for Meenakshi Lekhi to visit Belarus this year. He suggested co-locating it with a visit to the International Arts Festival Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk.
