MINSK, 8 January (BelTA) – Belarus is working on the development strategy of the government youth policy for 2015-2020, head of the youth department of the Education Ministry of Belarus Natalia Pshenichnaya has said during a roundtable session arranged by the Belaruskaya Dumka Magazine, BelTA has learned.
“It is the first time Belarus has embarked on the elaboration of such an important document as the development strategy of the government youth policy for 2015-2020. However the strategy is purely theoretical; therefore the plan to implement it will also be drafted,” Natalia Pshenichnaya said.
Representatives of the Belarusian youth are also involved in the work on the document. “We encourage young people to take part in the work of the task force. This will balance out the interaction between the youth and the state, give young people a bigger say and send them the right message,” the expert noted.
Natalia Pshenichnaya said that it is important for the Education Ministry to determine the development strategy of the government youth policy. “We should have a clear idea how to act. This means that instead of making situational decisions we should be able to predict possible developments. This is very important, especially in the Year of the Youth,” the department head noted.
