MINSK, 20 February (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the Republic of South Africa with concurrent accreditation to Zimbabwe Andrei Molchan presented credentials to President of Zimbabwe Robert Mugabe, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus.
The Belarusian diplomat talked to the Zimbabwean head of state and discussed bilateral cooperation and the ways to bring it to a qualitatively new level.
Robert Mugabe took note of the prospects to intensify cooperation with Belarus both in the economic and political areas. The Zimbabwean party is interested in the supplies of the Belarusian agricultural, mining and road construction equipment, setting up joint companies in Zimbabwe.
The parties also shared opinions on the issues of the current international agenda.
