MINSK, 28 August (BelTA) – ZTE activities in the Chinese-Belarusian industrial aprk Great Stone were discussed at a meeting between Belarus’ Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrei Dapkiunas and ZTE Vice President Yu Hai during the Belarusian diplomat’s visit to Shanghai, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties discussed the ZTE activity in Belarus and the corporation’s advances in the development of breakthrough telecommunication solutions that can be used in government, healthcare, transport and communications.
The corporation is a resident of the Great Stone. The deputy minister emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation with Belarus in the area of innovations and research with the production activity in the industrial park
While in Shanghai, Andrei Dapkiunas held meetings with other representatives of business circles and state bodies of China. At the meeting with Vice President of the Administration of the Shanghai Free Economic Zone Lu Fangzhou the parties discussed the ways of bringing new residents to the Belarusian free economic zones, their development taking into account the activity of the Great Stone Industrial Park, and also the maximization of the residents’ contribution to the economy of Belarus.
At the meeting with Vice Director General of China International Import Expo Bureau and Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce Zhong Xiaomin the parties talked over the preparations for the Chinese main exhibition event. The deputy minister noted that Belarus pays close attention to the preparation for the exhibition and considers it a unique opportunity for a significant increase in export of Belarusian goods and services to the Chinese market.
The Belarusian diplomat also mentioned the recent intensification of comprehensive cooperation between the Belarusian capital and Shanghai, the preparations for a visit of the Minsk mayor to the Chinese metropolis and the signing of an agreement on the establishment of twin city relations between Minsk and Shanghai.
