Winners of inaugural State Quality Mark announced in Belarus

The decree to establish the State Quality Mark was signed by the president in January 2024. More than 600 goods were nominated and were examined for the  compliance with the State Quality Mark criteria: safety, environmental friendliness, innovation, technological edge and aesthetics. The winners underwent a tough selection process to receive the right to mark their products with the recognizable pentagon. The famous Belarusian brands were honored at the inaugural  State Quality Mark awards ceremony hosted by the Belarusian president in Minsk on 22 January.

BelAZ mining dump trucks

The list of products that have confirmed their quality should start with the flagship of the Belarusian heavy engineering industry - BelAZ. This year the quality mark was awarded to the truly best-selling truck of the plant - BelAZ 7513 mining dump truck. This series is designed for transportation of loosened rock in severe mining conditions of deep open pit mines on haul roads under various climatic operating conditions. These trucks can be used in construction of large industrial and hydraulic structures, highway systems, as well as in manufacturing departments of the processors. The trucks are in demand not only in the countries of the former Soviet Union but also far beyond its borders. Thanks to this family, the BelAZ brand accounts for 70% of all global sales in the 130-136 tonnes payload segment.

By the way, it was the 27-tonne BelLAZ-540 truck that became the first vehicle to receive the State Quality Mark of the USSR. 

BELARUS 1222.3 tractor

BELARUS 1222.3 tractor made by Minsk Tractor Works, another industrial giant of Belarus, has proved that it really deserves a round of applause. Last year this model was recognized as the Best Product of Belarus 2022. The tractor is designed for various agricultural operations with mounted, semi-mounted and trailed machines and implements, transport operations.

The BELARUS 1222.3 entered series production in 2020 to replace the popular 1221 model (130hp). It retained all the best qualities of its predecessor, but at the same time received several new design solutions, units and assemblies. The engine meets the advanced environmental requirements of the Customs Union Technical Regulations and has an efficient cooling system for various operating conditions. The machine was made taking into account the wishes of tractor drivers for the most comfortable work.

Belshina passenger tires

The State Quality Mark has been awarded BEL-402 96H and BEL-411 102H passenger summer tires from OAO Belshina. The Astarta SUV lineup has been designed to update the range and market high-speed models in the SUV segment. These tires feature an original tread pattern that provides high traction properties, stability and controllability of the vehicle at all speeds and reliable performance on roads with hard pavement. In general, tires are designed for passenger cars of foreign make.

Belshina is one of the largest tire manufacturers. It produces more than 300 tire sizes for cars, trucks, heavy-duty vehicles, construction, road and lifting and transport machines, electric vehicles, buses, tractors and farm machines. The company has long become a brand of Belarus.

 MAZ universal chassis

The chassis MAZ 631228-8575-012 is also quite a popular model, which has now officially received the Quality Mark. The chassis is designed for the installation of various special add-ons. The model is in demand in many sectors due to its high durability, excellent maintainability, low operating costs and affordable price.

Nikolai Lakotko, deputy chief designer for trucks at Minsk Automobile Plant, said that the geography of sale is quite extensive. They are in use in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Latin America, Venezuela, Algeria, Congo.

“This is a universal chassis. It is designed for the installation of various special add-ons to meet the needs of our customers as much as possible.

We have adapted the chassis as much as we could so that it could fit as many types of equipment as possible. The vehicle can be assembled like a kit. It is possible to change the position of the attachments, fuel tanks, battery box, spare wheel, etc. More than 95% of the component parts are made in Belarus and Russia, so the model has a high degree of localization," he said.

"All our products undergo mandatory certification. The State Quality Mark will show consumers that we produce a quality product, that it is quite competitive and meets all the necessary, strict requirements," Nikolai Lakotko remarked.

Grain harvesting header

A header is a device attached to a combine to perform mowing and harvesting operations. Headers are often used to harvest cereal crops in Belarus. They are also needed for harvesting rapeseed, leguminous and cereal crops. The State Quality Mark was awarded to the grain harvesting header ZhZK-9-2 (set 01) manufactured by Gomel Casting and Normals Plant. This header is distinguished by a huge width (more than 9 m).

Gomel Casting and Normals Plant boasts sophisticated equipment and highly skilled personnel. The enterprise produces more than a hundred types of trailer and mounted equipment. These are grain harvesting and forage harvesting adapters (headers, pick-ups) for combines, grain swath headers, trailer and mounted forage harvesters, potato harvesters, etc.

Microcircuit by Integral

The microcircuit of the adjustable zener diode K1242EP1BP (IL431AM-1) manufactured by Integral also received the State Quality Mark. Its competitive advantage is the increased stability of the output voltage during the change of the ambient temperature and load current. The company emphasized that the microcircuit has high reliability and is protected against static electricity and can be used as an in-circuit regulator in power supplies and chargers, as well as an equivalent of zener diodes.

The microcircuit can be used in automotive electronics and secondary power supplies, as well as in machine tool manufacturing, industrial and consumer electronics.

"The adjustable zener diode microcircuit is one of the most popular microcircuits of the company, it has high export potential and is in great demand in Southeast Asia. The State Quality Mark will allow us to bolster our position as a reliable manufacturer and supplier of microelectronic products in the domestic and foreign markets," Integral emphasized.

Bed linen from Orsha Linen Mill

Textiles of the Flower Field product line, in particular linen bedding sets, have already received recognition from lovers of natural fabrics. Bed linen of Orsha Linen Mill is made of 100% eco-friendly flax. By the way, flax is a symbol of Belarus. This bedding is very soft, comfortable and breathable, which is important for a sound sleep. The State Quality Mark was presented to bedroom furniture sets Alezi manufactured by Pinskdrev. Cornices and decorative elements of the furniture sets are made of solid oak, and the body is made of chipboard with natural oak veneer. Yet, this furniture is reasonably priced.

According to Pinskdrev, the Alezi bedroom furniture was nominated for the State Quality Mark for its beautiful design. "It contains a lot of premium-quality high-grade wood, with excellent performance characteristics. A variety of decorations also helps fit the Alezi furniture into absolutely any bedroom, especially if it has a classic design. The use of high-quality fittings ensures a long service life of this furniture," experts said.

The company emphasized that Alezi furniture is highly rated by customers in Belarus and in Russia. "It is a sales hit," said Pinskdrev.

Laminate from Gomeldrev

The State Quality Mark also went to laminate flooring VIVAFLOOR, registered by Gomeldrev. The laminate flooring has been produced since 2015 using advanced equipment from the world's leading suppliers specializing in equipment for the production of board materials and products based on them. The quality of floor coverings fully complies with strict norms and has all necessary certificates confirming its high performance.

Gomeldrev is one of the largest and oldest furniture enterprises in Belarus. It was established in 1879. The production program of the enterprise includes a full cycle of products manufacturing: from logging, sawing, drying, wood processing to finished types and samples of products. Today Gomeldrev produces more than 300 items of furniture, plywood, MDF boards (sanded and laminated), laminated flooring, parquet and parquet board, planed veneer, sawn timber, profile parts and many more.

Enamel for painting different surfaces from Lida

The quality mark was awarded to PF-115 enamel from Lida-based company Lakokraska. It is intended for painting metal, wooden and other surfaces indoors. Unlike paint, enamel forms a denser, smoother and stronger coating, similar to glass. Such enamel can withstand significant temperature fluctuations (from minus 50 to plus 60 degrees Celsius).

At present Lakokraska develops and produces modern high-quality paint and varnish materials, which are worthy competition to imported ones, and promotes them not only on the technological lines of Belarusian enterprises, but also abroad. The company's products are supplied to the enterprises of the Industry Ministry, Bellesbumprom, Architecture and Construction Ministry, Ministry of Transport and Communications, Belarusian Railways, trade organizations. More than 70% of the total output is exported to different countries: Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, European and Asian countries.

Sugar-free chocolate from Kommunarka

Sugar-free bitter chocolate President Exclusive from Kommunarka with cocoa content of 72%, 78% and 85% hit the shelves in summer 2018. Condensed milk of Rogachev Dairy Canning Plant with 8.5% fat content is one of the most recognizable products in Belarus. It is loved for its taste, availability and, of course, quality. It is a 100% natural product, which is produced according to the traditional GOST recipe from only two ingredients: normalized milk and sugar. It has a pronounced sweet taste and a thick homogeneous consistency. Rogachev Dairy Canning Plant uses a continuous thickening method, which was introduced by the former director general Boris Reva. During his time, he put a lot of effort into the introduction of a continuous technological process.

Founded in 1938, Rogachev Dairy Canning Plant is the largest enterprise producing canned milk, whole-milk products, cheese, butter and baby food products in the CIS. The main type of activity is production of canned milk products. Today the enterprise produces more than 100 types of products, which are widely known not only in Belarus, but also abroad.

Flour from Lida

The blue-yellow packet of flour well-recognizable by Belarusians is available in every grocery store of the country. Now it has been officially awarded the State Quality Mark. Wheat flour of Lidakhleboprodukt of the highest grade in paper bags and polypropylene sacks is in high demand among confectioners and bread producers. It is especially valuable for its equalized granulometric composition. Baking products made from Lida flour Classic are always lush, porous, and delicious. The flour Premium is characterized by strong gluten, high percentage of whiteness and provides good volume and porosity of bakery products.
