MINSK, 14 October (BelTA) – Belarusian Transport and Communications Minister Anatoly Sivak met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Cui Qiming on 14 October, the press service of the Transport and Communications Ministry told BelTA.

During the meeting the sides discussed bilateral cooperation in transport matters. In particular, Anatoly Sivak and Cui Qiming talked about the development of Western European railway gauge infrastructure in Belarus and the development of container transportation by rail between China and Western Europe, including non-regular shipments.

The sides also talked over further interaction in the area of aviation and the creation of the legal base for international automobile transportation of passengers and cargoes.

At the end of the meeting the sides expressed readiness to further bolster and expand cooperation in the sphere of transport. The Ambassador was handed a letter addressed to the transport minister of China.
