MINSK, 8 August (BelTA) – Vietnam is interested in Belarus’ industrial development practices, the Economy Ministry told BelTA after the meeting of First Deputy Minister Alexander Zaborovsky with a delegation from Vietnam.
The delegation was led by member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Permanent Deputy Chairman of the Commission on Economic Affairs of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Phan Xuan Duong.
“Ahead of the forthcoming congress of the Communist Party, Vietnam centers its attention on planning the country’s industrial development. Belarus’ experience in these matters is of big interest for us,” Mr Phan Xuan Duong said in the meeting in the Economy Ministry.
The parties also discussed social and economic development and its planning. The meeting touched upon a wide range of issues related to bilateral economic cooperation, including within the free trade zone between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union. The free trade agreement between the two parties was signed in May 2015.
A representative delegation of the Commission on Economic Affairs of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam paid a visit to Belarus to discuss with the country’s government bodies the issues of economic planning, social and economic development and trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
