Venezuela president attends Belarusian machines factory’s opening ceremony

MINSK, 21 October (BelTA) – A factory built with assistance of Belarusian specialists to assemble road construction machines has been opened in the industrial area Santa Ines, State of Barinas, Venezuela. Venezuela President Nicolas Maduro and high-ranking officials of the Venezuelan government took part in the opening ceremony, BelTA learned from representatives of the Embassy of Belarus in Venezuela.

According to the source, the Venezuelan head of state spoke highly of the potential of the new enterprise and the Belarusian machines to be assembled. Nicolas Maduro mentioned the factory’s tangible contribution to the diversification of the economy. He thanked the Republic of Belarus and President Alexander Lukashenko for building the factory and handing over modern industrial technologies to the Venezuelan side.

Ambassador of Belarus to Venezuela Oleg Paferov took part in the opening ceremony. The Belarusian diplomat briefly talked to Nicolas Maduro. Several matters of bilateral cooperation were raised during the conversation.

The new factory to assemble road construction machines has been built in Venezuela with assistance of the Belarusian civil engineering company ZAO Belzarubezhstroy. The factory will assemble machines made by the Belarusian companies Amkodor and BME Diesel. The product range includes vibrating rollers, frontal loaders, diesel generators, diesel pumps.
