GRODNO, 3 May (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the UAE to Belarus Ibrahim Salim Mohamed Almusharrekh is visiting Grodno Oblast, BelTA has learned.
The program of the visit to the region includes a visit to Lida District, Grodno District and Shchuchin District. On 3 May, the UAE Ambassador held a meeting with senior officials of the Lida District Executive Committee, toured the exhibition of local manufacturers and visited Neman Glassworks.
The exhibition in Lida features 14 local manufacturers. "The UAE is a highly competitive market where you can see manufacturers from all over the world. But what distinguishes Belarusian products as a whole is their high quality (organic) and freshness. The quality is strictly supervised by specialized bodies," Ambassador Ibrahim Salim Mohamed Almusharrekh said.
“Relations between our countries have a long history that goes back 30 years. We maintain relations in different sectors: politics, economics, education, culture. We also hope to develop our cooperation in the area that the United Arab Emirates is most interested in today, namely climate change. The goals that the world faces can be achieved with the use of clean energy and green technologies. We hope to take our relations to a new level," Ambassador Ibrahim Salim Mohamed Almusharrekh said.
The UAE Ambassador is set to meet with top officials of Grodno Oblast and the FEZ Grodnoinvest and to visit the Molochny Mir dairy on 4 May, and to tour Grodno Azot and Primemilk dairy on 5 May
