MINSK, 14 April (BelTA) – Twelve Belarusian companies have been certified to supply dairy products to China, BelTA learned from Belarusian Agriculture and Food Minister Leonid Zayats on 14 April.
According to the Minister, Belarus has already sold the first batch of 20 tonnes of milk powder and pasteurized milk with a long shelf life to China. It was a test batch and now the Belarusian side expects that cooperation in supplying dairy products to China will be continued, noted Leonid Zayats.
While diversifying export Belarus takes measures to keep the traditional Russian market. Thus, the distribution network is being developed. Belarusian products are promoted to the Far East — to Khabarovsk Territory, Amur Oblast and so on, said the official.
At the same time Belarus now processes more milk and meat. “We have a considerable potential for exporting more ready-made products to the markets of Russia and other countries,” said Leonid Zayats.
