Top Belarusian civil engineering company to build school in Russia’s Vladimir Oblast

MINSK, 11 December (BelTA) – The Belarusian civil engineering company OAO MAPID will build a school in Vladimir Oblast, Russia, BelTA learned from the company’s website.

During the recent visit to Vladimir Oblast the Belarusian delegation took part in the ceremony to place a capsule into the foundation of the new school in the city of Sobinka. MAPID First Deputy Director General Ivan Khichevsky noted that the three-story school will be made of bricks and will seat 1,000 students.

MAPID will perform 60% of the work as part of the subcontracting deal. Apart from laying the bricks the Belarusian company will take care of finishing work, sanitary ware, electric wiring, and beautification.

The school in Sobinka is supposed to be ready by the end of the next year. The project is financed by the regional budget.

“It is MAPID’s first project in Vladimir Oblast but the company intends to continue cooperation. MAPID’s design division is now busy preparing to design and build a public welfare house in this region,” the company website reads.
