MINSK, 13 April (BelTA) – Tokyo will host the first Belarusian-Japanese economic forum on 10-11 May, BelTA learned from the Belarusian National Agency of Investment and Privatization.
“The event will open in Tokyo and then move to Osaka. The aim of the forum is to enhance investment and regional cooperation with Japan,” Belarus’ National Agency of Investment and Privatization said.
A Belarusian delegation will include heads of the Healthcare Ministry, the National Agency of Investment and Privatization, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee, the Mogilev Free Economic Zone, the Industrial Park Development Company. Investment project owners and representatives of the Belarusian companies that cooperate with Japan are invited to participate in the forum.
Officials of the two countries will be among the speakers. The event will also feature the presentations of Belarus’ investment potential including the industrial park Great Stone, other investment projects in mechanical engineering, electric vehicles and high-tech medical equipment.
The participants will have the opportunity to learn about the prospects of cooperation with Japanese companies in information and telecommunications technologies, automation and robotics, manufacturing of electric vehicles and vehicle components, investment cooperation. The forum will also include B2B meetings with representatives of Japanese companies and business associations. The participants of the forum will also visit Japan’s major companies in Tokyo and Osaka.
The organizers of the forum are the National Agency of Investment and Privatization, the Belarusian Embassy in Japan, the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee with the support of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO)
