MINSK, 5 February (BelTA) - The interaction between certain sectors of the economy to overcome the impact of the negative economic trends will be in the spotlight at the Third Belarus-Russia Forum of Regions, Vice Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Anatoly Rusetsky said at a meeting to discuss the preparations for the forum, BelTA has learned.
The forum is due in Minsk on 8-9 June. "Initially we were planning to consider the issues in the social sphere, but later we decided to give attention to the cooperation between certain sectors of the economy to overcome the negative impact in this area,” said Anatoly Rusetsky.
He added that the forum will be divided into eight sections to discuss education, labor relations, humanitarian cooperation, science and other topics. Guests are also expected to visit the Belagro 2016 expo.
The previous Belarus-Russia Forum of Regions was held in Sochi on 17-18 September 2015 with the participation of the presidents of the two countries. In 2014, the forum was hosted by Minsk and was attended by the Chairpersons of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus and the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of Russia.
