Tajikistan suggests setting up pharmaceutical company jointly with Belarus

MINSK, 20 October (BelTA) – Tajikistan suggests setting up a company to produce medicines based on the Belarusian raw material, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tajikistan to Belarus Kozidavlat Koimdodov told BelTA.

“We still have an untapped potential in the pharmaceutical sector. In the future we can consider the issue of setting up a joint production of medical products in Tajikistan with the use of the Belarusian medicinal plants,” the Ambassador said.

In his words, there is also a possibility to develop cooperation in cattle breeding and seed farming. Not less important is also the issue of supplies of eco-friendly early vegetables and fruit from Tajikistan to the Belarusian market. For example, these products can be delivered by land or air.

“Taking into account Belarus’ experience, it is worth paying special attention to strengthening cooperation in science for the development of high technology and the exchange of experience. Our Academies of Sciences, educational institutions and interested companies cooperate in the area,” Kozidavlat Koimdodov added.
